First problems popping up

on

Sunday, January 17th, Vechta, Germany.

I’ve got WiFi here with my new host so I decided to post about today.

I got up around 11h, so I got the opportunitie to sleep in. Got up, had breakfast with Johan while looking for a host for tonight. I found another freerunner in Vechta and like that had found my next destination.

My first problem: I had a distributer of my DC-connecter (cigarette lighter) to power my coolbox, navigation system, chargers etc. And it broke down already. I’ll look for a solution I guess.

Then later today I encountered another problem. Seems like I can no longer get my key into the lock to my gas tank. HUGE problem really… To be honest I have no idea how to fix that… I hope it’s just frost so maybe I can open it by heating the key.

Since my plans of staying in Germany for a long time (for a job I was offered) is cancelled, I do not think I’ll be travellin for any longer than 6 months.

So I’m in Vechta right now, which is a really cute town. Driving here I stopped in Rheine as well, where I found a magnificent cathedral! I’ve cooked for my host who’s a university student who procrastinated his work due tomorrow.

I’ll be moving to Dortmund on Tuesday, meeting my next host. Though I’m worried about the key problem, I’m lookin forward to what happens next on my trip.

Feel the fear and do it anyway
